By processing fibrous plants and biowaste, we significantly reduce CO2 and methane emissions, contributing to a healthier planet. Nettle cultivation alone can sequester up to 6.2 tons of CO2 per hectare annually, making it a valuable crop for carbon capture. Additionally, anaerobic digestion of biowaste, such as grass, branches, and leaves, can produce approximately 180,000 to 270,000 liters of methane per ton, preventing its release into the atmosphere.
